The little gold stamp on the corner of your book

A few hours ago I read a rather lengthy article by Mr. Rick Riordan about the state of children's literature. It appears the altercation he describes happens quite allot on a yearly basis. Adults choosing Newberry awards for children. Many people would probably say that a Newberry author award is an "honor" and is meant to recognize great literary books. But what you'll be surprised to hear, is that that little gold stamp on the cover, might actually Hurt your book.
